From Guinness to good fortune, St. Patrick’s Day invites everyone to be Irish. If you’re looking for somewhere to shamrock and roll, you’re in luck: Several events are taking place to celebrate the Celtic culture. For those who live near Longmont, it’s easy to go green. Consider doing the following:
Folksinger Beth Gadbaw is playing at the Longmont Museum as part of a Celtic trio on the afternoon of Friday, March 14th. Kicking off St. Patrick’s Day weekend, this event features Irish songs and explores what it means to be Irish-American. Come early (or stay late) to explore the museum’s Picasso exhibit.
The annual Shamrock 7K will be held at Wibby Brewing in Longmont on Sunday, March 16th. This event starts and ends in the brewery’s taproom and caters to everyone, from serious runners to nonchalant walkers. Participants will receive a complimentary craft brew, swag, and a chance to win door prizes. Dress up in your best Irish-inspired costumes and leave fellow participants green with envy.
Boulder’s St. Patrick’s Day bar crawl occurs on Saturday, March 15th, and Sunday, March 16th. You can purchase one-day tickets or all-inclusive passes. Enjoy complimentary entrance, drink specials, and access to the best bars in town. The participating venues will be announced during the week of the crawl.
The Pumphouse Brewery on Main Street in Longmont features an Irish-inspired St. Patrick’s Day weekend menu. Enjoy corned beef and cabbage, bangers and mash, Irish tacos, and Irish beef stew, as well as $5 St. Pat’s Green Ale and Guinness pints and tons of other drink specials. Sláinte!
While you can find smaller St. Patrick's Day parades in various towns across Colorado, you must head to the Mile High City to experience the quintessential celebration. The Denver St. Patrick’s Day Parade has been a March tradition for over 60 years. The 2025 event is scheduled for Saturday, March 15th, at 9:30 AM. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to allow ample time for parking.
For those craving Irish food and festivities or those hoping to dance a jig, there’s plenty to choose from during St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Whether you attend one event or several, as the Irish say, “May the road rise up to meet you, and may the wind always be at your back.”
