Longmont has got you covered with fun events this fall. Whether you want to sample some brews or test your fitness, our town has an event for you that’s just around the corner. Be sure to make space on your calendar on November 11 – the events below are can’t-miss!
43rd Annual Turkey Trot
If you’re a runner, join the community for Longmont’s 43rd annual Turkey Trot races. Starting at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, the event will feature 10K and two-mile options that begin and end at Altona Middle School. This laid-back event is ideal for challenging your endurance and enjoying the beautiful scenery in the cool weather. Plus, entry fees support the City of Longmont Youth Scholarship Fund, so you can feel even better about your morning run. If you’re planning to enter the Turkey Trot, be sure to send in your entry by November 9 at noon to avoid late fees.
Nitro Fest
There’s not one, but two awesome gatherings on November 11! Left Hand Brewing is presenting the fourth annual Nitro Fest from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at Roosevelt Park. If you’re looking for a unique event and the opportunity to sample dozens of nitro brews, don’t miss out on this exciting get-together in Longmont. If you’ve never tried nitro brews, this is the perfect time to learn why they’re so popular. This special type of brew is formulated to be super smooth with a creamy texture, so if you’re not usually a fan of beer, you might discover a love of nitro brews. Breweries from all over the world will be in attendance, and you’ll get a chance to sip on several different recipes with the purchase of your ticket. In addition to the awesome drink menu and lively company, Nitro Fest is known for its entertainment lineup and electric atmosphere. Live music and circus acts, such as fire spinning, are on the entertainment schedule for the night, so come prepared to take in the sights and sounds. Don’t put away your Halloween wear just yet-- attendees are strongly encouraged to arrive in costume. General admission tickets are available for $75, and there’s also the option for an elevated package that includes early arrival and a meet-and-greet with the brewery crews. If you’re interested in attending Nitro Fest, be sure to order your tickets soon!
