If you’re looking for a fun and unique way to squash your Wednesday evening blues, Oskar Blues might just have the solution. They’re hosting a mug paint and sip on September 20th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Tickets are $35 a person.
This event invites participants to pull up a chair, fill up their glass, and paint secondhand mugs with enamel markers. After your masterpiece is complete, you’ll have the opportunity to cure the ink in the oven, making your mug dishwasher-safe. If you’re in a bit of a rush, you can also take your uncured mug home with you, along with directions on how to cure it so your artistry won’t wash away.
A local artist from Coy Ink will be on hand to help and offer suggestions on what to paint. But ultimately, your mug is your canvas and the sky’s the limit to your imagination. Each participant receives one free beer, with the option to buy more, of course.
Oskar Blues is a well-known taproom located in Longmont that combines craft beer, cocktails, and fresh-made food for a fun time for all. It hosts weekly events that include Tuesday night trivia and live music (often featuring bluegrass, country, or rockabilly bands). Oskar Blues is perhaps most famous for Dale’s Pale Ale, a beer created by the brewery’s founder, Dale Katechis. While prominently featured on its beer list, the taproom also offers amber ales, stouts, blondes, and more.
