Easy Spring Recipes to Season the Season

As the days get longer and busier, it often gets harder to cook. But spring doesn’t have to mean retiring your oven mitt until autumn rolls around; there are plenty of recipes that are easy to make and even easier to love.

Consider trying one of the following:

Waffles With Asparagus

If fried chicken taught us anything, it’s that waffles go with more than just butter. This recipe introduces a strange combination, but a tasty one nonetheless. Made with waffles, asparagus, gruyere cheese, and onion, it’s a nice complement to ham and eggs. If you’re looking for a sweet addition, add some maple syrup (naturally).

Celery Soup

Celery isn’t exactly known for its potent flavor, but it might be if more people make this recipe. This soup is made with celery, garlic, onion, potatoes, sour cream, and croutons. It offers a lot of variation, including a vegan option and a healthier dish that uses yogurt instead of sour cream. It only takes about a half hour to make and assures you’ll never look at celery the same again.

Orecchiette Pasta with Burrata

If you’re looking for a vegetarian dish, this recipe is a quick fix with a refreshing fare. Made with mushrooms, asparagus, spring peas, and cheese glorious cheese, it’s light, filling, and the ideal springtime dinner.

Chicken and Artichokes

This chicken and artichokes recipe is made with braised chicken, tarragon, leeks, and artichoke hearts. It’s at its most delectable when made with artichokes that are in peak season (between March and May). You can make this dinner in one pan, so you won’t even have to do the dishes; you’ll only have to do the dish.

Shortbread Lemon Tart

While spring isn’t quite lemonade season, there’s no reason it can’t be lemon tart season. This recipe brings a flavorful dessert to any table. It’s rich, zesty, and invigorating to the senses. Take it to a potluck or keep it all to yourself; no judgment here!

From Thanksgiving turkeys to holiday roasts, winter tends to hog the spotlight when it comes to food. But spring shines in its own way. Try one of these recipes and season your season to taste.
