This annual event showcases the best local music, food, local craft brews and wine, and an atmosphere that only gets better with age. To make the best of this final day of concert-filled fun, take a look at our abridged list of what you should know before you head to the festivities.
Time and Location
This year’s summer concert finale will be held between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of 4th and Kimbark. With such a location, attendees will be able to dance unencumbered in the blocked streets while listening to some of their favorite live music from regionally acclaimed artists.
Musical Performances
Josh Hoyer, of NBC’s “The Voice” fame will be headlining the festivities with a special twist. Space Orphan, whose 2016 album “Shut Up About The Sun” was named one of the 20 best funk albums of the year will be sharing the stage with Josh Hoyer & Soul Colossal for an unforgettable night of musical euphoria.
Food Options
With cuisine ranging from southern BBQ to traditional Colorado pizza, there’s no shortage of options to enjoy while dancing through downtown Longmont. Specifically: 7West Pizza, Breakers Grill, Georgia Boys BBQ, and Samples World Bistro will be the main vendors on site to satisfy your hunger.
Drink Choices
Though the atmosphere and music alone is enough to give anyone lasting memories, deliciously crafted beer for many add to the experience. Breweries including 300 Suns, Bootstrap, Left Hand, Oskar Blues, Pumphouse, and Wibbly will provide beer throughout the night.
If beer isn’t your cup of tea, Wild Cider will be on location to keep your cup full of their delicious, local small-batch ciders. Additionally, a stocked bar of spirits will be provided by Longmont’s own Longtucky Spirits. If none of the above interest you, maybe a delicate rosé or robust red wine will sooth your soul. Staff and experts from Wyatt’s Wet Goods will be providing an assortment of wine for every taste through the evening and will help you find the perfect wine for you.
The food and entertainment will more than satiate your longing to let loose in these final days of summer, with or without drinks. By the way, admission is free, so take advantage of this 9th annual summer concert series without worrying about the logistics of acquiring last minute tickets.
