The Longmont Humane Society provides an invaluable service for Northern Colorado – rescuing and rehoming unwanted, abused, or neglected animals. Additionally, it provides resources for pet owners, such as dog training, pet cremation, and more. The annual kitten shower and bake sale provides an awesome opportunity for local residents to financially support, learn more, and volunteer with this organization. Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming event.
Bring your appetite to this event because the bake sale is sure to supply some delicious treats. Foster care volunteers are whipping up cakes, brownies, cookies, and more to sell during this event. Proceeds from the bake sale will support the LHS Foster Care Program
A supply drive will happen concurrently to benefit individuals who foster LHS cats and dogs. Bring kitten milk replacers, baby bottles, food, litter boxes, and other pet supplies. Don’t feel like staying and hanging out? Drop off items and grab to-go sweets from the bake sale. Every little bit helps protect vulnerable furry members of our community.
On April 3, from 11am – 2pm, stop by the Longmont Humane Society on Nelson Road. The fundraiser will be held in front of the shelter. Be sure to wear your mask and remain socially distanced.
This nonprofit provides so much more than shelters for homeless animals. The organization offers resources that help pet owners better care for their dogs and cats. Its foster care program removes pets from an unstable, shelter environment and puts them in homes of loving individuals who can give them full-time care, walks, and love.
Every year, the Longmont Humane Society provides care for thousands of animals serving the surrounding communities of Firestone, Mead, Dacono, Boulder, Frederick, and Lyons. The Well Pet Clinic offers affordable veterinary care for cats and dogs while its dog training classes provide a balanced approach to discipline and training.
Additionally, it offers a pet euthanasia and cremation service. The empathetic veterinarian associates can help make this difficult time a bit easier by listening and understanding to both the owner’s and the animal’s needs.
Pet owners in the surrounding Boulder County area can benefit greatly from a relationship with the Longmont Human Society. It is so much more than a shelter; it is a place for pet advocacy and pet owner education. Spend a little time on April 3rd to swing by the shelter and offer your support of this crucial organization.
